今早又去“吹水”，从死党哪里听了一个令人心酸又沉重的真人真事的故事：
一个朋友的朋友的丈夫，多年来受尽了病魔（kidney failure)的折腾后，终于走了。其实，病情在两年前开始恶化，常年卧病在身的人，脾气难免暴躁，可怜他的老婆在侍候他的当儿，时常还被他臭骂。听说，他在暗恋一个女孩，已经40多年了，他对她还是念念不忘。近两年来，他知道自己时日不多，竟然向太太提出一个要求：他想见那个梦中情人，接下来还做了一些不可思议的事，包括：叫太太载他去哪女人的住宅区兜一兜;在那女人常出入的地方等待她的出现；一天打几十个电话给她，要求见面，可惜打不通；骚牢朋友，要求朋友安排他们见面。
这些情节不是只在电影里才有的吗？现实生活中怎会有此等的事？可是那是千真万确的事！我看除了他的痴情，也包含了老人痴呆症吧，那就是：一直活在过去！
那班死党又有话说了，她们说 ：“那女主角真幸福，会活在一个男人的心中40多年，直到死还在怀念她！”我却认为：一个没有被他拥有的爱，幸福何在？女人们不是希望在沮丧时有个肩膀来依靠吗？一个连手都没被他握过的女人，更没有安慰的拥抱，有什么幸福可言？
我相信他是带着绝望的爱离开了这个至死还看不开的人世！！请问世间情为何物？

I saw an obituary today in my Chinese papers. Is it the one?
I remember one of his brothers also died of kidney failure. I met the brother in hospital when my dad was admitted to hospital at that time, also due to kidney failure. The doctor referred the family members to me so that I can explain to them about the procedure of applying for haemodialysis for a government servant. Unfortunately the brother and my dad both passed away within days of each other.
May he rest in peace.
